Runs fine when ECU reset, then starts running rich
My '93 GS 300 runs very rich. To the point that you can see thick black smoke out of the exhaust and the tips get sooty and black within 30 minutes of driving.
When I reset the ECU by pulling the neg battery cable for 20 minutes, the car runs perfectly at first and for at least 10 minutes, then gradually start running rich again. After about 20-30 minutes of operation, it is puffing black smoke again.
The cause of this problem is undoubtedly me washing the engine bay when I first go the car, before I found out that is notorious for causing problems. I'm hoping the unique set of circumstances with this issue means that someone can diagnose it without me having to take it to the dealer.
The car isn't throwing any codes.
