Default trunks cd changer is drawing power

my car has been dieing then getting charged and dieing again for quite some time now. every time it dies ill trinco charge the battery and put it in and viola starts right up. anyway i brought the car to my friend and he somehow figured out it was my trunks cd changer drawing power while my car was off. All he did was take out the cd cartirdge and now everything is fine...has anyone had this problem before... im curious to know why this is happening and how to fix it so i can put my cd cartridge to use

The same thing happen to my car, I removed the cartirdge as well. The cd changer seems to be flipping through the cartirdge to find a cd for a stopping point and never does thus drainning the battery. Maybe if you had the cartirdge full of cds it would prevent it from occuring? I never tried that.
