Default Twin turbo set up...under 2k with labor, possible or not?

Hey gang, I was wondering is it possible to get a twin turbo setup with all the required goodies with labor for under 3k or am I just day dreaming? I have about 96500k miles on the car with all the maintenence done to it. Can you guys give me some advice about where can I get the turbo kits from? (websites or contacts to buy the kit from?)

I've had this ride for about 6 months now but I think its extremely slow which I understand because its luxury ride but why not make it aristo quick I am looking to get atleast 300 to 350 H.P but it should pass the smog as well cuz I live in cali. Also I live in San diego so any suggestions on mechanics to install the turbo kit should be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

Edit: under 3K, I just realized I was being too cheap

No it's not possible. The twin turbos will NOT bolt to your GE head. A single turbo kit will not pass smog.

Aright, how about a 2jzgte swap with a 5speed tranny? I am willing to spend upto 3k. Guys throw some ideas, any of your experiences, any thing that I can get upto 350 H.P?

I bought my motor and tranny with ecu and all that for 2500 shipped. thats a great price, but of course your going to have to change a few old and worn out parts here and there, so its gonna cost more then 3k for sure. and labor expect somewhere around the 2500 to 3000 range.

That is not realistic. A six speed alone is 3k plus you need the 3.23 rear end. Here is a real estimate. 2500 for a motor set with auto, 1000 for misc plus about 1500 for intstall. 5 grand is what you need to budget to make sure it gets done.

Where do these guys get their estimates? you honestly think you can do a 6spd swap and a gte motor for $4.5k? You're kidding yourself. A 6spd swap alone even with used parts will run you $5k alone on parts... and that's assuming you got a great hookup or come across a one in a lifetime deal...

Hey yusef, where did you get all the stuff? I am assuming Ebay? I might just go with auto tranny then damn 6 speed sounds like a lot of cash

What about a 2jz-gte head, and attach the stock gte turbos on the 2jz? (Using a 2jzgte gasket). Is it a straight swap? Also how does the 2jz-gte come with a stock intercooler?

Sounds good in theory, but in reality that will end up costing more then buying a complete engine set. Remember the GE motor has a distributer whilst the GTE had the coil system, the stock ecu won't work with that at all.

Also what are your plans with the car? You live in CA where emmissions are very strict, you do realize the car will never pass them with any type of turbo setup right? unless you find a USDM motor, but even then if you upgrade you're risking it with the smog regulations.

thats why i put the + (plus) in there. and the "MAYBE" at the very beginning. because I really dont know how much it would cost, but thats was just an "expect to pay this and most likely more"

Well my plan was to turbo charge the car or possibly do a twin turbo swap, now the dilema arises with the damn smog + the cost is way too much for the power that I am looking for. I am still doing research on what to exactly do. I might keep my GS stock because its really low mileage and super clean and use it as a daily driver. For the track i might just buy 3kgt vr4, once I have enough cash saved up.

Honestly I don't know what should I do? I've always driven twin turbo/manual cars and I am so use to it now that auto/non turbo dosen't do the trick for me.
