i was wondering if there is a way to wire the fogs to the daytimes because it would save more power for me and i think it would look bad ***

run the power wire from your daylight to your fog and change the fuse? something along the lines of that. ghetto but i think it may work

Careful cause the circuit was not ment to handle that much load even if you go with a higher rated fuse you might toast the wire

you need to locate the wire which powers the foglight switch (power from the low beams) and cut it , then connect to the DRL output , it won't load the DRL circuit much b/c it is only switching the fog relay

Has anyone done this before on our cars? Ive been wondering the same thing. Back on my MK3, a friend rewired my fogs to turn on w/o the headlights being on but it was dark and he pretty much did the whole thing.

ok so i was at work, and i remember reading this thread, and i like this idea. so i got on TIS and found the EWDs...headlights EWD are different for Canada and USA models so i included both lol. the Fog light EWD are the same. here ya go...

EDIT: damn i forgot to get the parking lights for USA models lol. so canada models can use fog with DRL. USA models can use fog with parking lamps on. i will get the EWD for parking lamps for USA models tomm!!!

those healights are actually a 4x3 of leds. some1 on here did that with his by opening the healights and modifying those leds in. i dunno who it was but look it up cuz he said how he did it. i think it was wald gs or else yusef

Huh?? I have those lights, they r the aristo lights they have the daytime light the US light just has a blank space there. Did the foglight mod too

I have JDM headlights and i have like a 12 led 194 in there and it doesen't give that much light... plus u cannot have the fogs and daylights on just by themselves unless you wire your fogs to the daylights. I wonder what bulb they where using...

You can have your fogs on by themselves without connecting to daylights(circuit cannot handle it ) the fog light cicuit only receives a ground signal(i believe) only when the headlights r on. The way to defeat this is to use a switched ground(active when the car is on) then u will be able to turn on you fogs @ anytime using the factory switch and they turn off when u turn off the ignition
