Exclamation Clear replacement Headlight Lens: Gathering interest

Ok so here's the deal... The Sherlock Society is working on a list of new products to be introduced in the upcoming months. One of the items discussed was a replacement headlight lens.

You would buy the lens only (so no need to pay for a new headlight housing or anything) heatgun/blow dryer your headlights open, take out the old factory lens, and install the new clear lens with the included silicon sealant and then BAM! Awesome clear headlights! Not to mention the perfect opportunity for a projector headlight conversion.

The material they will be produced out of hasn't been decided yet. The Sherlock Society doesn't mess around when it comes to quality. There are many factors that need to be considered and explored to make the best possible product. Prototypes are going to be made and combat tested (heat test, impact test, ect..) to find out which material works the best.

So for those of you with old, nasty lenses, this would be an opportunity to replace them with either a fresh, clear lens, OR a smoked, amber, blue ect. lens. You could even mix and match amber inner/smoked outer or any combination of colors!

This was offered for the 240's from Final Konnexion and dramatically changed the look of the factory headlights (at $450 for 2 LENSES, price of these would be a under $120). The Sherlock Society lenses would be professionally vacuum formed and would come with a 1 year replacement warranty.

They would be clear like:

Is this something that you guys are interested in? I'd like to make a tentative list of those interested in a set of lenses so we can see if we can get these made!

The lenses are for the JDM and the USDM are the same size correct? The factory lenses have corrugation on the inside (and the wear from being 10+ years old) these would be completely clear, and obviously, fresh.

If the list gets big enough we will do a group buy.

The JDM lens has an extra bump on the corner light also is it possible to keep the city lights area on the jdm one frosted/fluted?

^I'll look into it. It's possible these will include LED's to replace the city lights to compensate for the lack of fluting. The idea was to make these completely clear.

Please sign me up. I think this would be a cheaper solution in getting the lenses de-lined.

If you have the JDM lights, the area where the parking/city light is,there's a separate piece that is placed over that area which is lined to disperse the light.
sorry if I got you guys confused.I'll post a pic when I can.
