Default Basic turbo Setup

Hey guys, i know the basic concept of a turbo upgrade , and the recommended requirements, but im not sure whats a neccesity and whats not. so mayb you can help me out.

Okay so for the minimum turbo setup on a 2jz-ge is?
Turbo
Turbo Manifold
Oil Lines (if its not ball bearing)
wastegate
Downpipe

1.From the turbo where does the oil lines connect to?
2.Whats an oil pan and is it stock, and do you really have to drill a hole in the engine for the oil lines?
3.The downpipe connects to oneside of the turbo right?
4.Where does the other side lead to?
5. Is the bov Connected to the downpipe? and if we have a wastegate , why do we need the bov.

Oh boy.

You're going to need professional help with this one.

Do you know what a 3/8 14mm socket is?

Hopefully you have some mechanical skills if you're going to attempt this!

hahahaha

i think you'd need a shop to do this for you...especially if your asking:

2.Whats an oil pan and is it stock, and do you really have to drill a hole in the engine for the oil lines?
3.The downpipe connects to oneside of the turbo right?
4.Where does the other side lead to?
5. Is the bov Connected to the downpipe? and if we have a wastegate , why do we need the bov.

I never said I was going to do it on my own, I just want to know, Its not my first time working on an engine, I can do almost all the maintenance on the 2jz including head removal , i did my own suspension(yeah not engine but whatever) ,custom intake, egr mod etc..
I just dont know too many details about a turbo setup, and I was just trying to learn a few things. All of you FAILED to answer any of those questions.

I think they gave you the best advice you can get other than to do a little research because the questions you are asking are scary, but to humor you.

1. The return line goes to the oil pan and the feed would come from where your oil filter is.

2. It's a pan that holds oil, look at the bottom of your motor, and yes you would have to drill a hole for the oil return.

3. Yes, the hot side.

4. The rest of your exhaust.

5. No, bov is to release pressure in your intake as not to create compressor surge.
