Oil Resevoir for turbo?
Hey guys, I was at the Skunk2 "Open house" today and I stopped to take a look at some new supercharger technology from a company called Kraftwerk (Skunk2 and Jackson superchargers combined). The supercharger had an oil in and oil out line just like a turbo charger however they did not lead to the engine oil, instead they led to a separate can looking thing that held kratfwerk's oil and cooled the supercharger with that and returned the oil there too (I assume). I was wondering if theres anything like that for turbos , so you dont have to use hot engine oil , or drill a hole in the oil pan.

Most superchargers contain their own oiling system. Reason being is its only gonna get as hot as the engine will. Really depending on whether if its a roots style or centrifugal, roots being a little hotter probably.
Turbo's need crank case oil to run through it cause the turbo will get way hotter than a charger. Basically turbo = 500-1200 degrees. Supercharger no hotter than 230 degrees.
