Default STUPID CAT!!!! scratched up my trunk!!!

so i talked to my dad, whos watching over my car right now while im at school, and he said the neighborhood cat has taken a liking to my trunk lid, and when i left for school it was flawless, and now its got tiny little claw marks all over it, he took it to be washed and they didnt go away, he polished with ICE liquid clay bar, and they STILL wont go away!!!

what can i do??? cant afford to repaint!!

will a buffing do the trick?
how will that work on this old paint?

Have neighbour pay for the damage or tell him you will sue his cat.

usually if the clay bar didnt help then your up ***** creek without a paddle. there are some color matched products on the market that will semi fill and restre scratches but if they are bad then i wouldnt count on it.
failing that i would be holding the cat ransom in exchange for a boot respray

try a procuct called quixx scratch remover. It really works. Its like magic. I am serious. I have used it on 3 fine scratches I have. I am pretty sure it will work for you. I found it at walmart. I think its made in germany. If you look it up I am sure you can pick it up online

when i get scratches i buff it out, usually works . use one of the smoother pads so you dont take off to much paint though...

or it may need to be wet sanded and then buffed. if that dont take care of it then it will have to be repainted

First off, a clay bar will not do anything for scratches. All it does is remove impurities from the paint surface. Try a product like Revive Polish from Adam's Polishes. That should help with the scratches. If they are minor, you really should exhaust all wax/polish resources before trying to sand or wet sand the area.
