Splotchy look? If your talking about the uneven lights look, that might be because not all the Bulbs are on. I have Red Gauge cluster LED's , at first it wasnt bright in the day time in some areas of the gauge, but then I opened it up and rescrewed them and then it looked almost OEM. I think the hyper white LED's would like good since we have red needles.

you guys have red needles? so jealous.

ALL led's are going to give you the splotchy look, specially during hte day, that's just how LED's are, they are directional, unlike halogen bulbs.

there is a mod you can do inside the gauge cluster to reduce some of the hot spots, but you'll still notice it.

i spend 40 bucks on bulbs JUST for my gauges when it only takes 8 to 9 bulbs depending if it's a GS or aristo. and i still got the hot spots,

the only way around it, is to create circuit boards, and solder them in, adding 30 LED's in close proximity to one another

here are mine I just installed from deknick. I dont know much about electrical but I can at least show you how it looks at night.

a bit splotchy but my OEM was as well....

oh, and my speedo needle has some light in it, first time in near a year. Usually only flashes.

Anyone know of where to get needles beside Lexus or a used cluster? I've read about it before but wasnt sure if anyone had come up with any luck.

I sent my cluster to Lextech and had them install an additional 8 LEDs to get the lighting even. They did a great job. Looks OEM.

It was about 120 I think. I had them do my needle fix at the same time.

hey guys, we had a thread on this in the summertime.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ed-lights.html

Check it out, the bulb information and sites to get them from are in there too. I've done this mod with the split wide LEDs, so has vipguy, pwidow, and rising_sun.
