I'm out here in Phoenix visiting the inlaws. I will be leaving tomorrow in the morning. On my way here I found out that their are radars with cameras that take your pic if you go over the speed limit. I don't know if it took my pic or it was the car infront of me. I have never seen the radars until I came to Phoenix. I only saw them on t.v. On mythbusters.

 

ya them cameras are a bunch of suprise if you havent seen them before....
and we are going to end up voting on them here in az to see if we want them up still or to take them down...
crazy things...

 

are they at stop lights or just randomly placed?

 

randomly placed on the shoulder of our freeways....

 

and at intersections and some randomly placed on streets.

what the hell? in a place like california, i would think they would have invented them.


we have had photo radar for years up here in our ****hole of a town with 1 million people.

I was told by one of the workers who put up the cameras that they will be adding more, out in the middle of nowhere in all directions; west towards California, south towards Tucson. north towards Flagstaff, etc.

 

That sucks. I drive back and forth from L.A. to Phoenix every other month.

 

I've only seen them on traffic lights. Never seen the radar ones, would suck here though i would get them daily. Honestly it would be crappy since everyone here speeds out of their mind in every lane. At least where im from.

 

Here in the Seattle area we only have cameras to catch people running red lights. I've seen the AZ cameras on T.V. though, a little overboard dont you think. Pretty soon they'll have equipment measuring exhaust decibels and the height of your headlights from the ground. Big Brother's probably peeking in your front window right now.
