Default Climate control & dask/fan/belt failure

Hey Guys,

A sound just started today. When the climate control is on and gas is applied there is a whrrrring sound in the engine compartment (i think) I realise this could be a fan or belt failure but wanted to know if our cars had any history of failures related to the climate control system (no sound is present when it's off).

Let me know if this rings a bell.

thx.

Is your defrost on as well? Mine has a little whine to it with nothing at all on (Ive read alot of people notice the same thing, seem to be the norm) but when I turn my defrosters on, the whining get a little louder as I accelerate
