what part of the egr (Exhuast gas recirculation)?
Does it look like this?

In our cars its on the top right of the engine bay, when I had a check engine light for my egr, I ran it for about 50 miles okay, I would just get it replaced, mine costs 70$

are you sure is the actual EGR valve?

most of them its the modulator as it gets hot exhaust pressure on it (which is just how it works lol) and the amount of pressure on the modulator is what meters the flow of the EGR valve. after a while the diaphragm just wears out...its right on top.

go to the "how to" section and it will tell you how to test it.

i took the intake peice off that runs over the head and rodded out where the egr flows and soaked it in some engine parts cleaner in a bucket....looked brand new lol.

Or you can bypass the egr. Get some block off plates and resistor, I can help you out if you need them.
