Wheels/Offset sizes, what to choose
Ok, with my tax refund and new money comming in, have the chance to purchase some wheels ( if nothing else with the car goes wrong).
The wheels would be either 18x8 +16 and 18x9 +4
OR 18x8 +35 or 18x9 +35. Same type of wheels different offsets. relatively the same price.
I've searched what people run but most offset questions i read about are with 20"/19" wheels.
Give me some input. im guessing i'd have to pull with the lower offset wheels but how much of a pull?

Lower Offsets FTW!!!!!
ummm,id go with the lower offset wheels.i had 19x8 +6 and 19x9 +13 and they fitted, alright.the fronts cleared no problem.and the rear i had to do a very very minor roll.so with those specs you posted,no pulling will be nessesary.

depends on stretch and camber (and ride height)
id go the lower offsets if you are happy to stretch tyres and run like -2 or -3, and also roll or shave your guards

How low is your car? Biger wheels with lower offset look nice the lower the car is IMHO. I had 20's and i had to drop the ***** outta the car. I think 19 are the biggest/best set you can go to get a classy look and 18's for the sportier look. The offset depends on how low your car is. At stock height I fit a 18x12 +25 -the wheel poped out- but it didn't rub anywhere and it looked ugly. With tanabe springs i fitted a 18x9.5 +18 in the rear without rubbing and a 20x10 +35 without rubbing. Once with my coilovers, the same wheels with those offsets (the 18x9.5 and the 20x10) rubbed in the back like a mother, so I had to roll my rear wheel wells. You don't even need to worry too much about the fronts, just remove the black fender trim. 20x10's +35 on the front are out of the question but 18 or 19's x 9.5 +35~20 is perfect for the fronts without rolling the fenders. This is just my experience with these sizes. Remember, the narrower the wheel the more negative offset you can deal with. Just my .02

kidzik you are right, but that is also to do with camber. the lower you go the more camber you will naturally get and will tuck the rim in. As such the curve camber will follow up under the guards and look better if your car is lowered over the wheels.
ive got a 2nd gen but up front if you go down to a 19x9 with +25 or less like i have, i am tucking tire tread up front and they rub when turning up certain inclines, and my guards are half rolled. so it depends how low you are and how hard your suspension is (mine is reasonably soft)
