Dropping the GS today
Just got a set of Tanabe DF210's in the mail for my wife's GS300. The 1.8" drop seems about right. We were gonna go coilovers but it'd be too bouncy for her preggers time over the next couple months. The cheapest I found was about $235 shipped from Grip Motorsports, so not too bad. Will post before and after pics when it's done. Wifey wants me to play hookie from work after lunch to do it Anyways, can't wait to see this car not looking like it's trying to donk...

So far so good, it's a bit lower but not a ton. Ride quality is much better except when the car is pushed harder it slides a little easier than before. One of the rear shocks is going to need replacing soon too I discovered. Wasn't too bad, started at 6, ended by 9. Pictures will come tomorrow hopefully. Looks much much much better than before.

Yep, so far. I did take before pictures, just haven't had a chance to do after shots yet. It does feel better but I'm not sure it actually holds the road better than it did. The stock suspension was in good shape but it handled really well actually, now it has much less body roll but it slides a little easier...maybe it's just because you can push it to the limit quicker than before, or maybe it's because the struts just don't have as much play as they used to.

I'd recommend replacing the struts & shocks at the same time if you haven't already done so. If the car has stock struts/shocks they are more than likely mostly worn out on a 15 year old car. How many miles on it? Might want to check the lower ball joints as well.
Be sure to post before/after pics!
