Smoking Catalytic Converter?
This just started 2 happen earlier today! I figure I need a new 1 anyways cause it sounds as if the sound from my engine comes out there and only smoke comes out the duals! So is that a for-warning?

Cats dont really go bad by themselves. Theres is usually something else that causes them to go bad. i dont know what the problem is, but if there is one a new cat would get burned up as well.
Is the check engine light on?

The check engine light isn't on. I was gonna take a pic of the dash but my internet is down and I can't upload pics of my sidekick! I think I might have a trans leak cause it smells like the trans fluid! Hopefully its not that ima try and run it sears and let them check everything out this weekend!

Im getting the same thing to. But I have a small rear main seal leak. It doesnt actually drip but you can see gunk build up...and my cat smells like rotten eggs and I get that snap/crackle/pop/ticking noise

Ok I got some good and bad news! The good news is that my trans isn't cracked! I took lexi to a garage and told them about the smoking and they showed me the undercarriage and all the old oil stained everywhere! I was advised to go 2 a local car wash that cleans undercarriages! Ok this is the bad news! A few days back it was a guy on the news who was in a incident where his undercarriage caught fire due to the cata. Converter so im kinda paranoid about this prob. And the car wash didn't even completely clean or leave a dent,so is there a solution that isn't flammable to clean undercarriages of cars? Cause I know im not the only 1 with this prob! O and also I was told I might need a main seal (where the engine and trans connect) could this a common prob?

be careful not to get any water on top of the eng.....wate will drain down into your spark plug tubes and it will run like ***..if it does happen then you wil just need to let it boil out and try to keep it running.
im pretty sure all cars tick when you turn them off....i work on lexus. they all do. lol. its not like massive snapping or poping...just a kinda ticking noise.

Oh by the way guys. a cat that smells like rotten eggs or sulfur is your cat dying. basically your car is running to rich and the cat is heating up like crazy and basically burning and/or melting. eventually it will probably clog up your exhaust.

Yeah The cat smoking is actually engine or transmission oil falling down onto it, usually it is the rear main seal, which is a PITA to switch out. If your flex plate goes bad it usually effs up your rear main seal.
