windshield trim... chrome?
im havin a new windshield put in next week and im wondering if i can take the trim off on the sides and remove all the rubber or black stuff on it and sand it down and buff it so it looks chrome. the same idea as the window trim that some of you did with yours. has anyone ever tried this b4 on the windshield?

before i was gonna attempt that because i too had to replace the windshield but i didnt.i didnt do it because the back windows didnt have anything to match it.but i think there is chrome under the front moldings.you can try it out and if you dont like it,just paint it back to black.

you should be able to, well at least the trim pieces on the left and right of the windshield. I would look into getting them chrome dipped though. If you sand and polish, you're going to have to repolish them every week other wise they're going to look like crap. Chrome will cost more, but it will look better, for longer, and cause you less trouble in the long run.
