I always thought of it in an economical sense. You get a drop with;
springs - cheapest $200-400, but permanent and non adjustable, it can get you the look you want (a lil tuck) and its not rough unless you have low profile tires and large wheels
coilovers - an investment $700-1.5K, but a lot of research needs to be done to get your preferred height and stiffness choices as well as degree of reliability and brand preference. You do have the ability to adjust for height and stiffness, but from what I heard, everyday driveability is better on springs/shocks or air.
air - most expensive, but most awesome...![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
i have springs, i would skip coilovers, and I would love an air setup

It depends on the setup you choose to go with. You can get it setup to work with prearranged heights or you can have switches that are fully adjustable.

lol
if you have the money then airbags, if you want a good ride and there is no potholes on your city then coilovers. If there are potholes and you dont want a really slammed car then tanabe springs are your best bet.
I loled because the answers depends really on your budget; air rides really nice, you can have 3 settings and you can do some parking lot pimping like no other suspension (panckake at the mall and see the fanbois flock). Coilovers are very nice if you like spirited driving but since our cars look really good lower, that compromises your suspension setting and your tire wear will be hell (i went trhough tires like a **** in 1 year). Springs are for a mild looking big sedan without a kit and nice rims.
I would have air ANY DAY. just my .02
