Default Engine shaking

Hi!

When I started my GS today, the whole car shaked like crazy . The shaking came from the engine (it felt like when driving at high speed with poorly balanaced wheels). The shaking stopped after some seconds. It scared the ****** out of me. I never had any issues with the engine in 14 years (I'm the first owner).
What should I do? Take it to the dealer to have the codes checked? I don't have the service manual.

Oh, and I replaced my trunk struts a few days ago. They work great

Thanks

Maybe your engine mounts are bad?

Check your crank Pully (harmonic balancer)and see if it is about to break into 2 pieces. Could have something to do with a blocked fuel pump

14 years? wow congrats !!

As for the shaking, check the spark plugs, I've heard of the car shaking because of the plugs, I don't know if it would make it shake that bad though ...

water or oil in the spark galley can be a problem.
Bad plug wires / plugs.

listen before you go on a wild goose chase, if the check engine light is on, then at least have someone "pull" the codes for you. That will at least tell you in which direction to go. If the engine mounts were broken bad enough to cause that kind of shaking, it wouldn't go away.

hope this helps...
