Unless some owners are totally ignorant and no nothing about how to take care of a car, there is no way any Lexus model should be considered a clunker. Of course I know some are totalled in accidents, but really a clunker? My GS has never giver any significant problems and runs in typical Lexus smoothness. Why would I get rid of a perfectly good running car unless I was trading up for a Newer Lexus ( GS 460 or 350awd )

I saw the most horrible thing when I went to the Toyota dealership a white 98-99 GS 400 sitting in the back with a big CFC written on the windshield in white , the car was in really good condition. Sad..........

The really sad thing is what they do to them before they write that CFC on the windshield at toyota. They have this stuff called engine disassembler that has something like sand and other crap in it that they pour in the oil and run the car till it dies. 2jzs dieing

well... it is what it is... I wonder why they are crushing the cars instead of having a bigass goverment junkyard located, say like in the nevada desert where we couyld buy parts out of these cars except the blocks of the engines... they would make tons of money off of it instead of just crushing and converting these cars in nails and thumbtacks....

In our world we live in a throw away society. What is new today is old basically in months ( In new cars, as soon as they are driven off the lot ) I understand that you aquire things that loose their lustre over time, and if you have the money and you can afford it go ahead and but that new car. But for those of us that play by the rules and have no car payments, lower insurance etc. Somehow we are villified. Some of the best cars ever made came out in the late 80's, 90's, how many early civics, corollas, camrys do you see running around still? Not to mention first gen LS's, GS's, ES's ? I live by this creed another man's junk, is another man's treasure.
