I've never seen a 1GS 2JZ supercharged. What makes you consider SC instead of turbo?

One of my friends had a supercharged 2nd gen and it's easier on those cars because they don't have a distributor in the way like our cars do. I've asked this question before and have always been told it would be easier to just turbo the GE or swap in the GTE.

I"ve seen a local Super charged MKIV NA Supra nad it ran great. Same setup would be for the 1st gen gs... Im sure it wll be fun and if there is a kit around for a MkIV supra, then it should fit on the gs as well.
