Default W58 into 147?

anybody do a w58 conversion on their 147? i imagine having to use a w58 from a sc300. will sc300 5spd driveshaft bolt up?

I dont see why not.. i mean the first gen GS300s have been fitted with Getrag 6-speed supra tranny and 5-speed R154 as well.. it should be a straight bolt on especially if you get it from the sc300 cuz it already comes with the 1jz/2jz housing.. but if you're planning to go big power like with a turbo then i dont recomend the W58 as it is a week transmission.. if thas the case then go with the R154 which comes out of the Soarer which is the japanese SC300..

how much work is involved in doing that though?

Your going to need the tranny, shifter, crossmember, clutch, flywheel, master and slave cylinders and the pedal. AND the driveshaft, not sure if the stock one will work, I doubt it but I'm not sure. Auto ECU can be used.
