How parts sensitive are our cars?(Denso Only)
I have a check engine light on, so I brought my car to my cousins shop, to have them read. They read down stream o2 sensor and Faulty TPS. I replaced both sensors myself. The o2 w a universal Bosch sensor, and the TPS w/, a Wagner brand. Did I just waste my money?? Because the codes won't reset even w the Snap on scan tool. Help on this thanks!!! Check engine lights are annoying!!!!

Thanks appreciate the feedback! I did do the batt. Disconnect thing before, I will try the fuse thing next. Then if that doesn't work I'm going back to have the codes read again. Maybe one left and I can fix the bad one. I left my inside molding apart in fear I had to, go under the carpet to change the o2 sensor again LOL

Thank you for your feed back I should of just ordered the right one online (Denso). You see I just went to Auto zone and bought the universal Bosch one because Denso is sold in all parts stores. I actually had 2 codes one for downstream 02 sensor and one for the TPS. Do you know if its the same situation for that sensor to? I swap out the original Toyota TPS, w a Walker brand sensor. The other thing I was confused w/ was the fact there are actually 2 sensors one is the regular one, and the other I believe is for the cruise control? Can anyone clarify? And, how would you know which is the bad one the guy who read my codes just said the TPS, never mentioned which one? Thanks for any info, I'm just a back yard mechanic, because my funds are tight.
