engine and tranny swap ?s
so i found an excellent but for the aristo engine and tranny. http://www.tigerjapanese.com/index.p...hk=1&Itemid=26
but i want to know what absolutely BASIC things do i need to do to make it start and move my car?
i saw the jzs147 engine swap thread and they said "What to consider when doing a swap on a first gen GS300. First thing is to make sure you have enough money to do this project. Expect to pay anywhere from $3000 to $6000 depending on how elaborate you are going to get with upgrades. Yes I know your buddy has a motor set for $1800 yada yada yada. There are some other parts that I would not start this project without."
i can get everything at cost (yes im going to redo every single hose and gasket) so im not concerned about that. i just want to know EXACTLY what items do i need i.e. intercooler+tubing then thottle cable from a supra?
can someone please list out basic needs. im not goin for super fast just a basic swap i.e bone bare
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

you're gonna need the Aristo ECU and you're gonna have to extend the harness so it reaches the ECU..
The engine you posted above already comes with the Aristo throttle cable (if its the picture of the actual engine)..
you need the intercooler as well.. you should email the same company and ask them if they have the stock intercooler and piping..
you'll have to get a supra water pump to get rid of the hydraulic fan set up (im not sure if the stock 2jzge water pump is the same as the supra, if so then you might be able to swap it from your old engine)
thats all i can think off the top of my head right now

Not sure if you know this already but if youre keeping the stock twins youre going to have to bang the firewall back a bit to make them fit. its not hard though. From what i can remember i had to get supra throttle cable, i think power steering reservoir as well. theres more i just cant remember at the moment.

Tigerjapanese is not a good place to buy engines. They are not what you see them to be. personal experience.
harness cutup, missing ecu , engines are really in bad shape etc. Im not the only one with this experience. If you look around, there are probably reviews on them .
Also, check out my build thread for a list of things I had to do and get. Actually PM me with questions and I can answer.

I went through Venus auto. but even they didnt tell me that the tranny they gave me had been opened before. and the blow off valve was bent not letting me boost over stock boost. I guess its best to go check it out with your own eyes, because im sure all motor import companies lie a little. But honestly i hope your motor comes in legit!
