hey all,
my transmission took a crapper on me.... so i bought a used transmission on ebay and had it sent to me... i have a 93 gs.... i bought a transmission for a 2jz non vvti engine... which by my knowledge should fit.... well the shop called me and said it wont work....
the one currently on the car is a 3040 or 304 transmission and the one i recieved is a 3050 or 305 transmission....
does anyone know if this will work with modification or why it isnt fitting? are JDM transmissions different than USDM>???
any help would be GREAT....
BTW here is the transmission i bought

Non vvti but still 5 speed, very rare. Only a couple thousand made. Your ECU is programmed with a shift schedule for a 4 speed. "maybe" if you got a 5 speed ECU it could "possibly" work but do you really want to pioneer that and risk throwing more money on top of the pyre? Sell the 5 speed and find another 4.
