Default 2JZGTE swap RPM question

The car is on and running but for some reason the RPM's are not registering. any thoughts? MPH, fuel, and all other gauges are working. I checked the fuse under the hood and they look fine. replaced alt fuse. dont know where else to look.

another question, for those with the turbo experience- what turbo controller would be good to invest in? i was thinking of the eboost2 because of all the things i can do with it but wouldnt mind paying less for something that does just as much and cheaper. i have used manual controllers in the past. also what alarm system is decent with a built in turbo timer?

any help, again, is much appreciated. thanks

Disconnect the cluster and remove. Solder a jumper on the R7 resistor next to the orange plug. Reinstall and viola.

A piece of wire that bypasses the resistor.

Rush...would you happen to have a pic of the area of the harness you had to extend?
