The supra would win because of the 200lb+ disadvantage the gs300 has along with limited slip and aerodynamics. I am assuming both are auto twin turbo stock cars.

Supra is designed out of the box as a sports car so there are defnitely advanges.
Weight, suspension, braking, tanny, . Also, the USDM engines were rated higher as opposed to the Aristo engines I believe.

I build MKIII and MKII Supras for a living, and build and work on GS/SC cars, etc. When I went to figure out what vehicle I wanted for myself, I ended up with a 1st Generation GS300. I've swapped in a 2JZ-GTE out of a 95 Aristo. I think the Supra is a very awesome car, but it's overhyped and too expensive. A clean BPU TT model will be $25-$30k. My Aristo was $10k to build, and with another $5k it'll be a 600rwhp daily driver with a 6-speed if I choose. I like the comfort of the bigger interior, and frankly if you're an older person, wanting to have a fun car, an Aristo would be a MUCH better choice. If I had a $30k Supra, I'd sell it and buy a $15k Aristo (that would be faster and nicer), and then drop the other $15k on a down payment for a house. You get to keep all the fun, and all the power (or more) without attracting attention from the cops, idiot kids wanting to race you and people trying to steal your car, sell it in fake ads, etc.

The gs300 with the 2JZ-GTE swap gives you the best of every world. Every "awesome" part from a Supra transfers: brakes, engine, transmission, diff, shocks etc. The only thing that doesn't is the sway bars, but you can get a set if you look hard enough.

Truer words have never been spoken. I MUCH prefer the Aristo over the Supra.

But to each his own.

well that's because the aristo weighs more then the supra. you can't really compare a sports car to a 4 door sedan. I owned a 89 supra turbo before I moved over to the aristo world.

.... well not by much

Supra hardtop is 3400lbs targa is another 150lbs heavier
Aristo is 3700

300lbs shouldn't make that much of a difference

my GS300 only weighs 3510 with a full tank of gas. and it's pretty much loaded except heated seats. I need to re-weigh it with the Turbo system and GTE motor, etc.

I've owned a few JDM's. I drag raced the Supra Turbo Automatic (no LSD) and an Aristo 3.0V Automatic (no LSD). Both were 100% stock.

Supra 13,785@104MPH
Aristo 14.400@102MPH

I Street raced the Supra against a 6spd Aristo with LSD. The Aristo only had FMIC, CatBack, stock boost.

The Supra was much faster....

Stock vs stock, I would hope that the Supra would be faster than the Aristo. However, if you mod any car enough, it will be as fast as you want it to be. With that said, I am EXTREMELY happy with my swapped GS3, but still want a tt Supra for the looks and the "status" of just owning one.
