Default Diagnostic port

apart from the engine bay, is there a diagnostic port within cabin?

man the car is obd1. just get a paper clip and jump the t1 and te1 ports and you can count the blinking light to get codes.

dang nammit lol,.... thanks for that, i already have a handheld diagnostic tool tho but dont have an adapter for it.... there is a toyota adapter which will match it but on the port of my car, there is a space and an extra row of sockets for the pins,... any idea?

about jumping it,... it would only bring up dtc not the pending dtc's right???

all help appreciated

haha i never actually looked at my own port so not sure what the extra sockets or pins are for sorry.

yea it will only bring the set dtc not the pending. for pending you will need a scan tool.

....i found another port in the typical place under the steering wheel column but it only has 17 pins but also says diagnostic....hopefully i will be able to find an adapter for this
