I have been pondering this i have a chance to get a 1jz auto for a very decent price so my thing if it could be done. or if someone could give me a detailed list of major differences that would need to be worked out for the harness and ecu to work on a soarer 1jz i would be greatly appreciative

Old question, but not answered.

You can swap 1jzgte/2jzgte aristo harness and ECU, there are just slight differences in ECU and obviously the harness connectors.

You should add an SAFC to dial out the differences in fueling, and a wideband is almost a must in this situation.

But, it can work. As far as the automatic control, that is a whole different thing.
