Default driver door lock trouble

hey fellow cl members,

just wondering if anyone else had this problem? I purchased a keyless entry key with brand new chip not to long ago. the dealer asked 150 to put the new chip in. I figured I just do it myself and save the 150. It was easier then I thought. Just take apart the carpet panel in the passenger side trunk area. basically found the alarm box that was held by two screws and took out the old chip and put in the new. the keyless entry works. only problem is my driver door doesn't unlock. the power lock switch works just find. should I look into the door lock actuator? or is that some safety feature that I have to turn off for the driver side door? Just wondering if this is standard so you won't lock your key in the car. thanks to anyone that can help.

it might be the actuator had the same problem on my gfs IS300 every door opened except the driver door and you can still lock it manually if you wanted as soon as we changed it everything was back to normal keyless entry all the way lol
