power steering hose

Is the power steering hose really dealer only. Searched forums found nothing but some pump install threads. Any cheaper options that any one can suggest no luck at my local junk yards?

Had a hose specialty shop make one for my old ride. It was a whole lot cheaper than the 600 or whatever ridiculous number it was for a hose.
