Hey, i had the same problem with me and the problem is the head gasket at cylinder #5, and 6. check your spark plugs, as soon as i got to #5, and 6 plugs i smelled like burnt coolant. Well that what happen with mine, hope this helps it seems like a common problem with this cars if not maintained.

If the over flow keeps bubbling over, classic BHG.

Is your Fan working?
Did you replace the thermostat?
When you replaced the Thermostat did you line it up with the mark on the thermostat housing?
What anitfreeze did you use after you replaced the WP?
Did you you mix it 50/50?
Did you bleed the system after the waterpump install?
You probably have some air in the system.
Sorry for all the question, am just trying to help.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what your symptoms sound like. Blown head gasket.

one more thing. Check for water in the spark plug holes...

and also MAKE SURE your harmonic balancer is in good shape. What happened to mine is that it was in bad shape (the rubber would become loose at higher temps/revs) and it would make the water pump pulley/fan to stop turning in certain conditions, thus causing my car to overheat. Believe it, I was about to pull the head when I noticed rubber-ish residue in the harmonic balancer and after testing it out, I found out this was the culprit.

I would bet my heart this could be the case if your car is:

A) Not smoking or has coolant smell on the tailpipes
B) Not producing Coolant smell in the spark plug holes

Good luck bud.
