Rescued a totally beat 94 GS300 the other day for $1700, 135,000 miles.

I am actually not familiar with these cars. When I got it it was running pretty rough, pulled codes for three o2 sensors, so far changed 2 upstream 02 sensors (codes went away) changed plugs and wires (iridium) air filter, in process of drain and fill method of tranny fluid (fluid was brown) flushed power steering fluid (was brown as well and noisy).

Noticed smoother idle so far however still feels somewhat laggy for a lexus and engine size, especially on the low end.

Also weird thing I noticed, I can hear what sounds to be a louder than normal exhaust when driving however when outside of car it sounds very quiet?

Idle is alot smoother now.

So where do I go next? I have ordered the last 02 sensor will be putting in next week, (last code)

Any input would be great, I have a lift and all tools available so shoot away, I feel like this car has much potential.

Thanks.
Wes

Definitely gotta see it, I saved mine from my wreckless cousins buying it before I did and I still have to buy 3 new oxygen sensors.

These cars are laggy compared to most even when running right, but plugs, cap, and rotor might help some.

will post some pics tomorrow.

I love the car, my wife drives a 97 es300 and hers runs so much smoother and way more powerful than this car, doesn't seem right?

Maybe changing the final 02 sensor will help a little.

On another note, I am looking for some nice rims and tires for this car, 17" and up, IM me if you have some for sale.

Thanks.

pcp that's only because the es300 is probably lighter compared to the gs300.

Well I just change the third 02 sensor located under the passenger side seat and it is WAY more responsive! Now if I could only get the check engine light to go off...

It keeps throwing the same code for that 02 sensor, I reset the ECU twice all ready to no avail...

All three 02 sensors are brand new.

What brand are the 02 Sensors? Most of these Toyota's/Lexus's only like Denso for spark plugs, sensors, etc.
