I dont think it was ever an option, it looks like it was painted over.

I believe that 96s and 97s have it. I think I like the one piece better too... trades anyone? I don't even know if mine can be converted into the one piece. However, I am planning on painting my car black and the two piece tail lights look better when the car is black imo.

Mine's a 95 and it has the 2-piece looking tail-lights. And yeah, you can convert it since the middle piece is just painted over.

Better take good care of your A350 transmission, ours took a dump randomly and it was rebuilt only about 3 years ago.

The tail lights like that are definitely a 96-97 thing, if anyone likes/wants it, they can buy my old one off me (the 96-97 center section)

if we change ours to the 93-95 ones do we have to get different tails too? which means 3 different pieces?

First thing you need to do is to modify your keys location since 93-95 vs 96-97 are different. Secondly, 96-97 use only 1 harness for the stop lights vs 2 for the 93-95. What this mean is that your taillights lamp failure will turn on because of differences in the resistors for the two models. You can search on this forum since some member has done it before.

www.ddmtuning.com

they're also located in Huntington Beach, CA if you're near it's worth it to just stop by and pick them up. Their warranties are great because you can just show up and ask for it, instead of sending and receiving.
