Default This needs a Sticky!! POWER Loss Hesitation problem FIXED !!

I have a 1993 LS400 That has been Cursed just like many other LS400 or basically anyone with a 1UZFE I read about in here with power loss and Stuttering/ Death by Pedal with nothing there when you floor it. To make a long story short it could be your Cats...I digress. After changing everything under the hood except the engine, I changed the Engine Temp Sensor. Problem Solved!! NO MORE STUTTERING, SUPER POWER NOW...RUNS LIKE A ROCKET!

Part Number:
SU4007 $13.99

Things I've done before this to no avail:
NEW Fuel pump, Filter, Strainer, ...No fix
NEW plugs, wires, Dizzy cap/rotors ..No Fix
Cleaned MAF, TB, TPS, EGR.............No Fix
Seafoam, Injectors..........................NO Fix!

Engine Coolant Temp sensor.... FIX!!! NO more problems...

Although we can't sit here and FIX every Lexus LS400 from my Keyboard... This solution was just the REMEDY for my LS and it's 17 year old sensors.
I read everyday of people having the same issue and spending mega Loot on common sense thing we typically see fix failed american cars like Tune up components etc.. This may or may not work for you...but if your car is 15 years old or older.. Change the Engine coolant Temp sensor 1st!! This may save you Hundreds like Geico in the needless easter egging of parts to no avail....

Try it...

I had this exact same problem with my old Aristo with the 2JZGTE. and you are right i just had to replace the coolant temp sensor. what was happening was that the ECU would see that the temperature sensor is faulty so it doesnt know what the actual temperature is so for safe measure it dumps tons of fuel to "cool" the engine and thats why it would hesitate or bog down

I never had hesitation or bogging but it does lack alot of "take off power" could it still be the tamp sensor!

I dont think this affects power at WOT. my car used to hesitate and shut off when ever im stopped at a traffic light and it turns green then i push the pedal it would shut off then it wouldnt fire up right away. i have to try it 3 or 4 times before it fired up. i got the sensor online for like 30 bucks, and its very easy to replace so you guys might aswell give it a try..

These links should help you out. On the 2jzge motor it is on the driver's side under the manifold.
