Unhappy My 1993 Lexus gs300 1st generation

I have a 1993 Lexus gs300 and has 270141 miles on it. Bad new was my transmission went and a mechanic told me that the pump in the tranny went due to old age. I bought a new tranny but getting to the bolts above the bellhousing is difficult. I just cant get to them. Does anyone guide me to a site that has instructions on how to remove a gs300 tranny? or a site that can tell me step by step.. Thanks

Un-bolting the engine mounts and lifting (or carefully jacking from under) the front of the motor will tilt the drive train so you can reach the bolts. Personally I just pull the motor and trans as a whole. That way I can do everything with a lot of room and also clean the engine and engine bay.

Pull the driveshaft, pull the tranny mount bolts then use a long extension with 17 and 14 swivel sockets.

Default Milky substance on oil cap and dip stick

I changed the water pump on my 1994 Lexus GS300 because it was running hot and I could not point put what was causing the problem. I had already changed the thermostat. After I finished and the call still ran hot i decided to take out the thermostat and see if that would stop engine from running hot. Well, after I reattached the hose and filled with coolant not only do it still run hot but the radiator drank coolant. That being said, I check the oil cap and there was the milky substance that says the head is cracked. Could this have occurred because something with water pump or thermostat?

No, you could've blown the head gasket from age.. Thermostat or water pump wont blow it. You should also start a new thread rather than replying to a thread thats 9 years old too.
