GS 300 (1993)
Car sometimes does not start until I either wait a while or jiggle the gear shift (remaining in "Park"). Everything else works but the starter does not engage or make any sounds to turnover.
Last summer I removed the center console where the gear shift is and messed around with a small "switch" as best as I can tell. My guess is that it has to make a contact to allow the signal to tell the car to start. I am not a mechanic by every stretch of the imagination so my terms may be wrong.
Anyway, I think I know what the part is, however, I can't locate any diagrams or pictures that would allow me to actually know what to call that part or assembley....
Does my diagnosis make any sense to anyone? Any idea what I would replace in the console and how I can figure out what the part number and name is?
Thanks...
