Question stalls, won't start for a day, then starts with white smoke and stalls again!

O'kay so I'm in the parking lot of the mall trying to find a parking spot amongst the Christmas shopping chaos and my GS just stalls and won't start back up...
Tried to start it till the battery died then got a jump and tried again till it smelled like gasoline around us.
Came back the next day and it started up but poured a ton of white smoke out of the exhaust and then stalled again and wouldn't start.
What gives, any ideas CL peeps?

so its probably flooded while trying to start (gas smell), did you see or smell antifreeze out your tail pipe?

Rapollon maybe right. It could be anti freeze. Does it have a stinky **** smell to it? Try using a intake cleaning agent...that should be able to help. Try checking a few other things like if your hoses are all connected etc...its just like troubleshooting a computer. If it isn't one thing, then its gotta be another.

No antifreeze smell, all the fluids are good too.

You mean like Seafoam or something? I'll have to get back to it during the day or take a flashlight with me to get a better look at the hoses.
It did this a couple of weeks ago and the next day I was able to start it up and drive it with no issues until now. Weird that it would be intermittent like that

1 - use a paper clip and go and open the diagnostic plug port under the hood and read inside the cap.

2 - put one end of the paperclip into the pin that is TE1, and the other end of the paperclip into E1.

3- turn your car key to the ACC or ON positiuon without cranking the motor.

4- look at the check engine light and count the codes. (ex: a code 14 is 1 blink of the check engine light, a pause, then 4 blinks.)

come back and tell us if there are any codes and what they are.

then we can guess from there.

Even though the CEL (check engine light) is not on, there still ca be codes.

if that doiesnt work then check for spark. (easiest way is to get a long enough old wire and pop off one of the spark plug wires on the distributor cap, then secure the wire to the distributor caps missing spark plug wire port you removed. And place the other end near the motor block. Now have some one crank the motor and see if there is a spark jumping the gap between the motor and the old wire.)

if all is well then, verify if you've got fuel being sent.....

Mechanic says it has bad compression, guess it's a head, gasket or valve
That really sucks, spent a lot of time in the junk yards finding all those parts that brake on these GS's and fixing all the little things wrong with it guess I'm gonna make it a donor, can't afford to rebuild it....damn
