Any Ideas?? Please READ :)
Hey CL, I have a question Does anybody have a good recomendation for a replacement subwoffer? I have the original sub, but I put an an aftermarket 2-ch amp. Well it was good for a while but today the sub just stoped working I think I blew it, I think it was time to replace anyway. So anybody out there have Ideas of a good sub without going to crazy or having to modify to much.

If you're interested, I still have a 12" JL IB4 from my jzs147. Its a free air sub, can replace your current sub (if you have a 12, its a direct change, if you have a 10, you have to take the bracket off.
I had it connected to a JL 500/5 amp, and it had a lot of punch, way more than the stock one. The only problem was rattle. With so much more power, everything will rattle unless you do some soundproofing.
IMO free air subs are the way to go so you can still maximize your trunk space. They don't need a box (your trunk is the box, IB means infinite baffle).
What type of amp do you have? Whats the RMS and max power per channel? Ohms? These are important to know when matching up subs/speakers/components.
Hope that helps
