Default Anyone got pics of their GS with this particular wheel offset?

I might be picking up a 93 GS in a week or so and have some SSI Design rims I bought for my SC400 that would be a great fit, just curious if anyone had pics of wheels on their GS so I could see how this particular offset would look. They are 18x8.5/9.5 and are 40mm. The were made for Supras/SCs and clear the big brakes, and the car will have LS400 brakes on it, so I figure I'd see if I could get some pics to see how those look on the cars. Thanks.

you sure a +40 will clear the LS ones? it mainly comes down to spoke design at that point.

these are 18x8.5+32 and 18x9.5+31

so imagine yours sitting 10mm in towards the body more

all pictures are of the same rims, and no spacers or anything

hmm, staggered 8.5 and 9.5? i think you'll need spacers if you want it flushed. if you don't care about the flushness it'll be fine. i used to have super advan ver2's on my 240sx, and they were 17x9 all around, and i needed a 25mm spacer to flush the fronts, here's a photo from rimtuck.com, a VERY useful wheel resource.

this setup is 18x9/10 and +20/+25, tires: 215/35, 235/40

I personally think the wheels look too skinny, but the drop is nice and i like the flush.

So I looked at that rimtuk website, and I'm finding that there's a pretty good chance that "flush" doesn't actually mean what I thought it did.. I always considered a wheel that was perfectly square to the ground that's lip extends to the brim of the fender to be flush. I feel like the more people roll their fenders and the more slammed the car, the more exaggerated (and unnatural imo) It looks like everyone is driving around with a big *** crap in their pants or that their axel is broken.. Are there different levels of flush? Different types?

that is also a different car than the OP is going to put rims onto, so can't go by that.

look at the picture i posted, the specs are as follows

front: 18x8.5 +32
rear: 18x9.5 +31

so, if yours are +40, they will stick IN towards the inside of the car by 8mm in the front and 9mm in the rear compared to my picture.

if that's the look you want, then get em, but if you want the flush, or hella flush look, i'd advise against them, cause that'd be a pretty big bolt on spacer. to push them out, you'd need a 10mm spacer to get them to look like mine even.

ohhh blah, how could i miss that it was a 2nd gen.. ugh, my bad man. but nevertheless, you'll need spacers to be more flushed.

the photo i linked isn't perfectly flushed, you're right. i like it, but not my cup of tea.. needs more tuck, less pop.

exactly, not my cup of tea either, nice car, like the dish, but i think it looks funny,

the OP will need a 10MM spacer to get the wheels to sit where mine are, which are NO WHERE near flush, so he'd need about a 35mm spacer to get "flush"
