Default 94 GS 300 wont crank

So i recently bought a first gen GS 300, my battery was weak so i took it out and charged it, when i hooked it back up the alarm goes off...so i turn the ignition to the acc position and the alarm shuts off..go to crank it over and nothing. the car ran fine prior to the battery, just hunting down any good advice or direction on how to fix this

When you go to crank it, do your interior lights go off, or stay on? Also, does the solenoid click when you crank it?

You said the answer in your question. The alarm went off. The alarm most likely has kill switch feature.

alarm shut off after i put the key in the ignition and tried to start it.wouldnt the key deactivate the alarm? as far as the interior lights they stay brightly lit when i try to crank it. but i hear a single click from the trunk when i try to crank it

That could mean various different things. Does it have an aftermarket alarm installed? Like Kaiser was saying earlier, it could be that. Have you checked your starter? If it didn't even turn that could be another reason. If it's not turning and your lights stay on after you turn the key, then I would check those 2 things first. From there try the alternator, fuel pump, then the spark plugs. Good luck

definitely the alarm once you turn the key turn it back and then on again and it should turn over.If not try to disconnect the brain of the alarm and see if that work.
