I have Eibachs in my first gen. It is lowered 1.25" (sorry, too lazy to convert this to metric for you) just as Eibach advertized. The ride quality is slightly stiffer, but it is still very good. My shocks had already started to seep a little bit before the spring installation, so I can't say that the shock wear is attributed to the springs. I don't think the springs will ruin your shocks. However, manaray has posted on this issue before. Springs alone are not ideal because they don't allow the shock to travel as it did with the stock setup, thus causing some wear. I am saving up for coilovers myself.

The Intrax were more firm than I wanted, so I put the Eibachs back in. The ride in the front with the Intrax was too harsh for my taste. The Eibachs are very good as far as ride quality, but the car is not low enough.

IVe got the Eibach pro-kit. the ride changes a little bit. its not that bad though. On the freeway, it rides great. city is a little rough, depending on what tires you have.

I am planning on getting coilovers after the holidays and after my tax return check arrives. I will probably get the HKS LS.

The Eibachs have been great. 1 1/4" drop and no problems yet with the shocks. I've had some problems with alignment in the front. At maximum adjustment the front is still .3 off (whatever that means). If you have all of your wheels/tires the same you can rotate them often and you'll be fine. I have a staggered set up so I have to get new front tires ever 25K or so (thats MILES not KILOS, I'm too lazy to convert as well!!! LOL!!).

Hi Todd
I have a staggered setup as well. 19X9 in front and 19X10 in the rear, so no rotating for me either. It will be expensive, but I had to have the staggered setup and I needed to get the 3" lip in the rear to make myself happy.
