Post Importing a Aristo from Jp to the USA

So I am currently living over in okinawa Japan. I have the honor to be riding around in a 1994 Aristo 2JZ-GTE.. Can anyone point me in the right direction of importing it to the states? I have been reading everything the NTSHA has to offer and it doesnt help me at much. I really just wanna how hard it is and a starting point. Any input would be great...

No way to get it done legally. Cut the car in half and bring it in as parts, then get a cheap 1gs here in the states and transfer everything over.

ACTUALLY, there are ways to do it legally. there is a company in, I think, florida, or somewhere else on the west coast, that has found a way to get around the 25 year old rule, i have seen a bunch of soarers for sale, and once they're registered in that state, your legally allowed to register it in your hometown state.

I've read that multiple times before, and i'm trying to find out where i saw the cars for sale, and a link to that imformation.

Any luck? I mean I can always bring the front clip back with me but i would rather just import the whole car. It might be cheaper just to bring the front clip.

Another alternative would be to bring one into the states thats already register in Canada. I just happen to have a '92 for sale . I've personally sold a mk3 supra to a guy in virginia that was registered to me in ontario and he didn't have any issues registering and driving it there; He still has it. I know of a few other ppl that have done this and registered the cars in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Michigan, Florida and Georgia. Since there easily available in Canada aswell there not too expensive to get your hands one. If you find a nice enough seller they'll even meet you over to boarder to take deliver .
