Default Exhaust Piping size

well i'm planning to do my exhaust soon enough. i was wondering what size everyone's pipe are. i know our stock pipe are around 2 inch or less. whats a good size to run if all i'm planning to do is put in an intake.

I was thinking 3 inch from the Y down and 2.5 inch to each pipe. is that too big?

the stock piping is good if you are not going to get all crazy with engine mods. just make sure there are no leaks or areas that are bent or rusted. i got all my piping replaced just to be on the safe side.....but i stayed with 2inch.
