I had a gasket replaced after the Cat on my exhaust cause of a leak, and then I got another leak from a seal above the cat, I took it in to an exhaust shop and they told me a reman. Cat assembly was like $700 and that I needed one because it was warped, I don't know how it could have warped. I told him that I am not payin that much now and asked him to just do the other gasket, he said it won't last and he couldn't give me a warrentee. Well it seems much better but still leaks a little after the gasket got replaced. I don't feel it in the gass peddle much but I still can hear it slightly. Do you think I really need to replace this assembly? How much? It just seems like a lot of cash for a exhaust leak out of a connector.

did they tell you the cat end was warpped? if so you could get a decent high flow cat for under $200 installed

THEY SAID THE CAT ASSEMBLY OR SOMETHIN, LIKE IT COMES AS A SYSTEM, I KNOW IT COULDN'T BE MUCH MORE TOOIT WHEN IT MEETS THE DOWNTUBES. DIDN'T YOU SAY YOU DID SOMETHING ON YOURS LIKE THAT. LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN PUT IN PLACE OF THIS IF THAT IS MY PROBLEM, I THINK THEY ARE REFERING TO THE PIPES THAT BOLT TOGETHER THOUGH. I WISH I HAD AN EXHAUST SHOP I COULD TRUST FOR EITHER OF MY RIDES

i'll crawl up under my car tomorrow to try and see what they are talking about.....too bad you can't post a pic i was taking pics of my work in progress today. but my digital cam took a dump so i have to get them developed. i'm so motivated right now
