Question Strut options for 1st gen?

I have been extensively researching strut options for our cars and cant find a nice adjustable. I have some springs, but I'd rather install them in concert with a strut. KYB AGX does not seem to exist, nor does Tokiko Illumina, etc......

Do the cars cross reference with regards to using another vehicle's strut?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would ultimately like to find an adjustable because I have NEVER been happy with the valving of an "off the shelf" strut in the past.

Thanks everyone!

John

You only have 1 option for adjustable strut. TRD. I just installed them on my car a few weeks ago. Kinda pricy. close to $700 you can get them from Rod Millen Motorsports. Maybe you should think of spending a few hundred more and get the Tein HA ($900-$1000).

OK, then what are the best off the shelf struts made for this car? KYB?

Actually, I think KYB is the only other option. I think it's the GR2 (about $250-$300 for the set). I forgot to mention. If your car is dropped more than 1.5 inches, Rod Millen Motorsports said stay away from the KYB, they will fail pretty quickly (plus KYB doesn't warranty them for over 1.5 inch drop).
