Just wondering what kind of MPG you guys are getting with your first generation GS300? Is 22 in town good for a stock GS300? Thanks in advance..

Arizona? Well, considering we are driving on the same streets it will be a fair comparison. My "heavyfooted" city driving nets me 19.6 mpg consistently. As soon as I mix in a bit of highway it bumps up to around 22-23. All highway nets about 26.

Hope that helps. Glad to see another fellow AZ 1st gen GSer on the board!

i drove from Rhode Island to Louisiana in my 1995. It would give me about 400 miles to the tank on 100% highway. Thats 24mpg which is pretty good for such a big car. But in city my mileage is crap. I filled up last week and my car has run about 60 miles and is on half tank. all these numbers are a/c on and driving pretty hard (highway about 90-105mph) and city pressin it everytime i get a chance.

Take a look at putting some really nice spark plugs (Iridium, or NGK platinum) and a brass terminal distributor cap and rotor set in your car. I noticed my mileage falling off and replaced those things. It in fact made an immediate, and noticable difference. Smoother power, better mileage.

I get pretty poor mileage in the city 15mpg, but I am lead-footed. From Los Angeles to San Francisco, I got 25mpg (but I was averaging 95mph).

I did notice a drop off in mileage, but after putting in a new cap and rotor, the mpg increased by 3-4. Just stick with Lexus parts, most others are inferior.
