Come OFF!
I have been trying to intstall a new oem transmission in the GS and have everything disconnected but it still won't come off. I've tried lifting the engine, the transmission, pulling it back, shaking it, pry bar... There is a huge gap inbetween the engine and trans, and it shakes and spins like its ready, but no dice. It just won't come off. Any one know the trick?

Make the bolts from the flexplate to the torque converter are removed.
There is lip/pin on the TC that fits into the crankshaft as a guide, so you'll have
to slide it back a ways to get it to drop out, and much more so if you plan to leave
the TC attached.

IMO its much easier to remove the few bolts for the flexplate/TC connection. It prevents the exxon valdez sized trans fluid spil in the garage and makes the room need for disconnection must shorter. GL

Ok. Finally got the transmission replaced and yes the TC bolts have to come off.
Problem. The transmission is still hesitating. You can floor the pedal and the time varies but it doesn't take off as soon as it's pressed in. While driving you can push it to the floor and sometimes it does nothing. Is this an ECU problem?
