I was fighting with it for a while, finally got the actuator back in the door and the inside latch connected. How do I connect the outside latch so the pin goes into its slot on the actuator?

I'm sure you've figured this out by now, but I'll go ahead and answer for the benefit of anyone else having the same problem. All you have to do is have a helper hold the inside handle all the way out(or wedge something in there like I did) as you finagle the outside handle into place. This lowers the slot(I believe it's actually just a pin that gets pushed down when the handle is pulled up) so that you can get that pin above it. Also, it's quite difficult to get a tool in there past the door latch assembly to tighten up the rear screw on the door handle, so it might be worth removing the bolts on the latch, installing the exterior handle, and then replacing the bolts. Keep in mind I haven't actually tried it that way. Just don't take the latch out of the door.
