Default Intro thread.

Hello there CL. Was referred here by a friend from my 3000GT/Stealth forum as I am now a new owner of a 1993 GS300. I have been in the hobby/business of cleaning or modding cars for a while. My other main project is my 1996 Dodge Stealth RT/TT. It is almost completed now so I am going to turn my attention to the GS afterwards.

Ok here is a couple pics of the GS. Bought it for a average deal sight unseen based on a family members recommendation. Turned out to be more rough than I was told, but either way I am just gonna clean it up anyways.

Here are some pics of how its started.

Future plans include new paint, new wheels, new suspension, JDM tails, new seats, and light stereo work, and when its all done and cleaned up...might be going with the single turbo kit. We shall see on the power part. But cosmetically I will definitely be cleaning it up.

Not gonna put a whole bunch of time into explaining my other project. But the long and short of it is, I found it in someones backyard totally torn down. Picked it up and totally restored it. Reason being is it was the last model year and they only made 57 of the turbo AWD models. So I put forth the effort. I dont think it will take QUITE that much effort with this GS, but I will make it at least that clean.

here are some pics of my Stealth...

What it looked like when I picked it up.

What it looks like now.

It will probably be black, and lowered with tinted windows. Thats about it. Until I decide to turbo it or not.

HAHA deal.

I am fairly confident with my wrenched on my Stealth...never touched on of these but I cant imagine that installing the single turbo kit on this motor is harder than putting the TT setup on my FWD 3000GT so I am fairly certain that I am going to do it one of these days.

Gonna start with cleaning up the outside and interior, then do a health check on the motor (which passed smog with no issues 2 days ago with 180k on it) And then the turbo kit might be next in line.

I didnt dyno the car on that previous setup. The car is currently torn down with a new build.

Guess I will be going in to that build a little bit lol.

Old setup was some bolt ons, PnP heads, stock turbos, clutch etc etc.

New setup is bigger.

3.6 liter stroker block.
Twin T3/T4 turbos.
Water/Air Intercooler. (no more FMIC)
GM 3.5" MAS with blow through.
550cc injectors for the break in, but plan on 1200cc after motor is broken in and good to go.
Custom intake manifold.
Southbend stage 4 clutch.
there is more, but I am sure you get the idea.

Not sure what to expect, but should be fun.

For tuning we will be reflashing using EvoScan after the break in period. Until then, just running a SAFC to control boost to low levels. Havent had the greatest of luck with these builds (hence the 2JZ thing) so I am going to take this very slowly on building power numbers.

Honestly...want 600+ at the ground...but we shall see.

The paint on the GS is pure failure in every way.

The car was originally dark blue. The previous owner resprayed it in some form of Burgundy that can only be best described as a Maaco special.

I have some people looking in to new paint for me now. On a budget, but it will come out looking much much much better than it does now to say the least.

Leaning towards bringing it back to dark blue, or just going black.

So had a little incident on my way to work last night. I swear sometimes, f I didnt have bad luck I would have no luck at all. Anyways, I was driving to work last night and ran over a pothole and popped 2...count em 2 tires. I fortunately had a set of wheels off my last car sitting in my garage with brand new tires so I wasnt out there.

Anyways, installed my powdercoated G35 coupe wheels today before I went in for my shirt. Snapped a couple pics. They are FILTHY and the car is still beat up and dirty as ****. But it looks better
