Default New to the Lexus family hopefully this weekend.

Hey guy and gals,
new to the forum and excited about my possible purchase of a first gen Aristo. Just want to pick at your fellow lexus onwer heads. im going to go look at a 94 this weekend it has the color interior im looking for and the exterior color is that dark green that almost looks like it has a blueish tint. the car is pretty beat for 94 body wise but i use to be a painter and have hook ups on body repair etc. so thats not an issue and the interior is gray and im sure the leather is in ok condition for being 18 years old. back to what i need form you guys is the car has 216k. is there anything that i should look for considering the mileage out side of the engine i also use to be a certified tech at a dealership so drivtrain is my least concern. i just wanted to know anything aside from that. Such items that crap or i should check to see if they have been replaced EX: gauge cluster or heater cluster i know they fail in the OLDER LS400's. anything i should look for in the suspension outside of the normal wear and tear etc. Thank guys any help would be great.

new memeber
Bobby

window regulators are almost always a fail. drivers door trim. make sure the cd changer and factory amp are in the trunk. Your gonna have to replace ball joints, sway bar end links etc. hope that helps

Distributor oil leak. Can cause premature alternator failure. Hood struts also go out too. Needles sometimes stick too

door window trims rarely intact and hard to find used and $500 at the dealer. Front seat motor gears brkn and unable to move seats up or back, telescoping steering column only moves up and down and not in and out

everything else pretty much mentioned

Looking at one this afternoon. Tan interior isn't the best but I'm sure ill grow to love it. But plus side its a one owner car from new and the its a man in his late 40's so it could be well taken care of hopefully.
